The world is becoming full of new technologies. Not a day goes by without a revolutionary breakthrough in some technological field. But it isn't often that this happens in the world of printers. We have only had 2 major types of printer in the past. Inkjet and Laser. Now a new type of printer has come along. The Bubble jet.
This is designed specifically for photos in mind but isn't just a one trick pony.
Aesthetics
The Printer is a nice looking piece of kit. Rounded lines and a polished black plastic cover. It all folds up nicely so it doesn't take up much valuable desk real estate.
Installation
As with most USB devices nowadays just plugging it into your computer will cause Windows to automatically hunt down the relative drivers and install them for you. So you have the printer up and running in about 2 minutes.
Performance
This is where the iP2000 really excels. It is able to print on more than 10 types of paper, ranging from standard A4 paper to Glossy Photo Paper. The iP2000 amazed me at its ability to print high quality photos without having to spend a fortune on expensive kit. It is not as good as a photo lab understandably but none the less it prints extremely high quality. Not only that but printing a word document is fantastically fast. It took me about 1 second on average to print a whole page full of writing.
