The Reviews

Review by: Ian Clark
Personal Rating: 8/10
Date of Review: 13/12/2007

To my amazement, I discovered that Creative were still manufacturing the same I-Trigue 2200 that I bought around 2 years ago. I'm not sure I blame them as I feel that they meet the demands of a certain market in that they're very attractive.

Despite this however, you do have to look at the negatives - and I'm afraid they're all but too large to overlook. The first is the current price, they were ?37 at Amazon when I wrote this review, which to be honest I think is an absurd amount for the quality of these little devices.

For me the I-Trigue is almost sitting on the fence, not sure whether to be a hand-held speaker device, or to be a larger computer speaker. The result is somewhere in between, some sleek and stylish speakers which don't really offer much more than that.

I would describe the sound quality as "adequate", but I'd struggle to go much further than that, certainly not "impressive". Unfortunately the I-Trigue seems to want to be purchased by those not really interested in sound quality but instead looks - and I'm perfectly alright with that, I believe they found a potential market. I do however, have to review this items performance as lacking, as its competitors in a similar price range simply outclass it.

In short, if you're looking for something to impress your mates with as they pass by your room but fail to hear the quality, these are the ones for you. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

Protection or Precaution?
Norton, McAfee, AVG, Bitfinder. All these companies promise to protect your PC from any virus or hacker that may want to harm your computer. But do any of them actually work? Or is it just fleecing you of yet more money for nothing!?
