The Reviews

Review by: Ian Clark
Personal Rating: 9/10

I recently purchased the FujiFilm Finepix as a present. The camera itself is small and lightweight, and looks very well built. It's 6.3 megapixel abilities make it enough for almost anyones purposes. The camera will set you back about 100 pounds, and on first inspection it looks well worth it. Unlike quite a lot of cameras, the F20 takes XD cards, which are extremely cheap at a mere ?10 for a 1gb card. This will take 340 pictures at highest resolution which is an extraordinary amount for anyone. This amounts to, and I'm just checking - 14 minutes 54 seconds of video, which is pretty damn good. The lens quality is pleasing, and it's macro option is always a nice added extra. The zoom is sufficient with added Digital zoom as well. In terms of ease of use, it's not the easiest thing to use to be honest. I'm a bit of a techie, don't worry, I didn't venture into the instruction manual, but a bit of fiddling took place before I was fully confident with it's capabilities. If you're looking for a camera of good quality, build, and at a low price, I'd opt for this. It comes with Fuji's FinPix viewer, which is a nice piece of software, which can automatically take everything off of the camera and arrange it in folders by date, which just saves that little bit of fuss. like with most digital handhelds this camera does not have a viewfinder that you would see with an SLR, so you'll have to do with the digital screen to display the picture as it stands, which is OK, but I personally prefer the old manual touch. Autofocus, self-timers and flash options are all part of the F20. Certainly look around for more reviews on this product, their may be some problems, but as in my experience, if you're looking for a nice camera on a low budget, this is the one to get
