The Reviews

What to say about this product.

Firstly, the sound, truely amazing. The 5 speakers pack a neat punch to them, with the sound quality crisp and clear. They're very aesthetically pleasing on the eye, with a neat volume control on one of them along with the optional microphone port. The main brilliance of the X-530 however, is the bass. This bass is just awesome, and will have your family, parents, brothers, sisters, wives, husbands all shouting at you to "turn it down".

The price of this machine as well for it's quality is just superb. I bought it off Amazon for an amazing £32, which to be honest I think was a mistake from their part because a week later it went up to £46. Either way if you're looking for a top quality sound system and your budget is under 50 quid, you simply must, must buy this.

The look and feel of the speakers is reassuring to say the least. Their solid plastic exterior is not as you may think 'tacky', but instead they feel firm and reliable.

The only possible downside to this 5.1 machine is that laptop users will not be able to use them as laptops only tend to come as standard with 1 headphone port, which supports 2.1 sound but not 5.1

(Basically if you're not used to the terms, the first number e.g. 5 represents the number of speakers and the second e.g. 1 tells you the number of Bass speakers).

You can of course, as I have, solve this problem by purchasing an external 5.1 sound card, which will set you back another £25 if you're looking for a good one, and if you don't feel you have the money or the patience you may wish to go for the 530's brother the 230, which is the 2.1 version of this model.

I have spoken to friends who have the 230 and they're extremely pleased with it's performance.
