The Reviews
"Although Nintendo have created something new and outrageous, the Wii lacks something that puts it into the same league as the Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3"
In my opinion, the wii is more advanced than the 360 or the playstation 3.
It may not have as good graphics, but Nintendo chose not to go for the amazing graphics (although the new Super Mario Galaxy that's coming out looks better than most 360 games), instead they wanted to concentrate on the fun aspect of gaming that so many games thesedays do not focus on. There's loads of games that will be released soon with online play, and Nintendo have recently announced that they will be releasing an update allowing you to download drivers to be able to play dvd's, meaning the Wii has everything the 360 and PS3 has, and more.
I think Nintendo done a brilliant job with the Wii.
Just when you're getting bored with it, there's something new! Nintendo are constantly updating, adding new Wii Channels and games to the virtual console. And if you haven't got any good games to play, you can browse the internet using the Wii internet channel.
The Wii is definetely one of the best consoles ever released, and i can't wait to see what more surprises Nintendo has in store for the us.
And just so you know, the Wii has now sold more than the PS3 and the 360.
PS3 - 5,214,698 consoles sold
360 - 12,398,012 consoles sold
Wii - 12,595,913 consoles sold
;)

The Nintendo Wii is the cheapest of the "next-gen" games consoles and you can see why. Although Nintendo have created something new and outrageous, the Wii lacks something that puts it into the same league as the Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3. But then this product is less than half the price of a Playstation 3! And its new design and features put it into a league of its own.
The console itself comes with 6 mini-games which includes golf, tennis, baseball, bowling and more. What really impresses me with the Wii is the level of sensitivity and precision the remote gives when you use it. The programmers at Nintendo had obviously spent lots of time figuring out how the user would swing the remote and how it should react. As yet there have been no major realeases in games for the Wii, except for Zelda. In the future I'd love to see some more mario titles and such like that Nintendo are famous for.
On the whole the Wii is a great buy, especially for party animals who often have lots of friends round and want some entertainment. This suits any age range and is great for families.
Hats off to Nintendo for wanting to take the next generation of games consoles to a new level and making such a different design to everyone else. Lets hope the novelty of this console does not wear off and Nintendo release some great games to accompany this great system. Only Nintendo would dare take this bold step into the next generation.
The Wii is currently out selling the Playstation 3 in most countries and with great reason! A must buy for any gamer of any age!

I agree with you, it's not all about complex graphics and new Gizmo's it's about originality - and the Wii certainly packs a lot of that :)
