The Reviews

Review by: Megan Kratzman
Personal Rating: 8/10
Date of Review: 11/01/2008

These 23" flat panel LCD monitors are pretty darn nice, but in typical Sony fashion they look great, deliver above-average quality, but are a bit overpriced in comparison to competitors. I've had very few issues getting the monitors set up and working with my gaming PC. I've heard that some people have a problem with color tints with these monitors, but I have not noticed this myself. Color calibration can be a bit tricky, but this is really only an issue if you need them for a color sensitive purpose, such as graphic design. For gaming, it's no big deal. These monitors offer no easy to access USB connection and cannot be moved vertically.

An issue I have noticed is that after having these monitors for a couple of years, one monitor started to display a semi-dead pixelation line (not too bad, but still irritating) and the two monitors no longer display colors exactly the same. I assume this is something I could fix (especially with the 3 year warranty), but it hasn't caused enough problem for me to try to fix it. If you are sensitive to these types of issues, you may want to look into it more before purchasing these monitors.
